Mero

Mero was born in Grand-Mère, Canada, a small town in Québec, and lives now in Québec City. French is Mero's native language, but the language he loves is English, and Mero has written in it by choice ever since.

By trade, Mero is a software developer working in machine learning, a field that spends its own careful hours asking what a mind is and how it builds a working model of the world. Outside of work, a long practice of meditation and self awareness, and a standing interest in writers who take the inner life seriously, among them Alan Watts and Eckhart Tolle, shaped the question that Mero's fiction keeps returning to: am I the author of my reality, or its prisoner?

Mero is currently at work on a debut novel, Water Under Everything, the first of several planned. Each book takes up a different corner of the same territory: grief, belief, and the ordinary machinery of an inner life examined closely enough to become extraordinary.
